The homes of several Connecticut Democratic members of Congress were targeted by bomb threats on Thanksgiving Day.
Reps. Joe Courtney, Jahana Hayes, Jim Himes and John Larson said their homes were targeted Thursday.
“This morning, while celebrating Thanksgiving with my family, I was notified of a bomb threat,” Himes said in a statement. “Thankfully, after a quick and thorough response by the United States Capitol Police, the Greenwich Police Department and the Stamford Police Department, no evidence of a bomb was found.”
Hayes said in a statement that local police notified him that he had received a threatening email stating that a pipe bomb had been placed in the home’s mailbox. Police found no evidence of a pipe bomb in his mailbox and said there is no place for political violence in the country.

“The State Police, US Capitol Police and the Sergeant at Arms were immediately notified. The Wolcott Police Department and State Police responded and found no bombs or explosives and cleared the scene. The investigation is currently ongoing. I thank law enforcement for their attention to this matter; their actions show that there is no place for political violence in our country”.
Local outlets in Connecticut reported that Larson and Courtney have received similar threats. ABC News has reached out for comment.
The threats against several members of Connecticut’s congressional delegation come after several of Trump’s cabinet nominees receiving threatsincluding the Republic Elise Stefanik, former representative. Lee Zeldin and Pete Hegseth.
It’s unclear, however, whether Trump’s threats against some of his cabinet members are related to threats against many of Connecticut’s congressional delegation.
