Hear for yourself… the actor was speaking off-camera after filming the now-deleted HBO video, but his smooth Irish accent completely belies his villainous, Gotham-dwelling looks for the show and New The York growl he uses in character.
The shift in emphasis was so intense that it almost overshadowed Colin’s heartfelt message… “I loved every minute of it, even when I didn’t. And I feel so grateful and humbled and blessed to be a part of this group : ».
It’s especially funny when Colin then snarls that “the suit won’t miss” or “the voice is disgusting” and then seamlessly reverts to his Irish accent as if nothing happened.
But fans couldn’t get enough in the comments, with some hilariously claiming they heard Colin bouncing between his Penguin growl and soft Irish lips while in full dress ‘felt illegal’ and ‘wrong’.
But all fans could agree on one thing. Colin’s performance is Emmy-worthy. The series just wrapped its finale, and he’s already getting a lot of praise for bringing the Penguin to life.
