Lauren Price will make her first WBA middleweight title defense against Bexy Mateus live on December 14th. Sky Sports.
They will fight Ivana Habazin on the unification bill for Natasha Jonas’ IBF and WBC middleweight titles.
If Price and Jonas both emerge victorious from their respective bouts, they could be on their way to a British unification clash in 2025.
Earlier this year, Price defeated former undisputed champion Jessica McCaskill to win the WBA crown. 2021 Olympic gold medalist, Price It was actually a perfect strike when he dethroned McCaskill in front of his home fans in Cardiff in May.
The first Welsh boxer to win Olympic gold, Price once again wrote her name in the record books, becoming Wales’ first female world champion in just her seventh professional fight.
The 30-year-old from Ystrad Mynach is still undefeated as a pro and has his sights set on this first defense and ultimately supremacy in the welterweight division.
Mateusz, the WBA No. 5 middleweight contender, is also undefeated in the professional ranks, winning all but one of his seven bouts by knockout.
The 29-year-old from Bogotá is fighting outside of her native Colombia for the first time as she aims to upset Price.
The WBA champion said. “I’m excited to defend my belts to cap off what has been a big year for me. I have full respect for Mateus. I’m going to prove that I’m the best in the division and I’m not going to let anything or anyone stand in the way of me becoming undisputed.”

On the undercard, Ireland’s undefeated Stephen McKenna will go toe-to-toe with English champion Lee Cutler in a thrilling super-middleweight bout.
McKenna wowed fans with a three-round war against Joe Laws last August at Barnsley’s Oakwell Stadium. Both men hit the canvas in the first round before McKenna piled on the pressure, dropping Laws three more times to preserve his undefeated record via stoppage.
English cruiserweight champion Widdal Riley returns to action after recovering from an injury that kept him out of the ring since his career-best victory over Michael Lawal in March. Riley will aim to shake off the ring rust as he targets big name opponents in the new year.
Chorley’s unbeaten super-middleweight Mark Jeffers knocked out Darren Johnstone in the fifth round in May and will be looking to add more drama to the Liverpool Exhibition Center as he goes in search of his 19th professional win.
Super middleweight Mason Cartwright, a former two-time British titleholder from Ellesmere Port, will be counting on local support as he gets back on the title trail.
Having signed a promotional deal with BOXXER, local star Frankie Stringer can claim his third win of 2024 when he returns in front of his home fans in Liverpool. The 23-year-old lightweight, who is managed by former world champion Liam Smith, is a product of the city’s famed Rotunda ABC, the amateur club that brought in Jonas and many more.
