When we’re focusing on a task, we often don’t notice something obvious in our field of vision. This phenomenon, known as inattentional blindness, was demonstrated in a study a person dressed as a gorilla, participants did not notice. But now it seems that the gorilla is not so invisible, and we actually get the information, even if we miss the big picture.
