A Brightline train collided with a fire truck Saturday morning in Delray Beach, Florida, injuring three firefighters and 12 train passengers, city officials said.
The three injured Delray Beach firefighters were taken to a local hospital, where they are listed in stable condition. Two of the firefighters were originally listed in critical condition, but their condition has since been updated.
In addition to firefighters, 12 people on the train were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, assisted by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. There were no casualties.
The crash happened around 10:45 a.m. on East Atlantic Avenue near the railroad tracks, according to authorities.

According to Delray Beach Fire Rescue, firefighters were on their way to a call when the crash occurred.

The Delray Beach Police Department, Brightline officials and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are conducting an active investigation into the cause of the collision.
Authorities are investigating whether the crossing gates were working properly at the time of the crash and have yet to confirm details on the exact cause of the crash.
