A small plane crashed Sunday in Brazil, killing 10 people, officials told ABC News.
Businessman Luiz Claudio Salgueiro Galeazzi was piloting the plane, police said.
He was traveling with nine family members, including his children.
All were killed in the accident.
The plane crashed in a popular shopping center in Gramado, in the southern region of the country.
At least 17 other people, who were Christmas shopping in the vicinity of the accident, were taken to hospital. Two women suffered life-threatening injuries.
The plane took off from Canela, a short distance from Gramado, and was heading to Jundiai in the state of São Paulo.
The family traveled only 3 kilometers (about 1.86 miles) before the plane disembarked.
